Thinking Like a Magician "Time to Relax" - September 2008
My wife Katy and I just returned from a week in Michigan where we sat and watched the lake, played cards and generally 'did nothing' (I admit I did do some work - I shot this month's video.) It's incredible how relaxing that can be. But a week away from the world is not always possible, so it's important to have daily opportunities to relax. There is a multi-million dollar industry built upon selling us 'relaxation'. Yoga, incense, massages, guided meditation CDs, herbal teas and supplements, bath salts... the list goes on and on. The choices available are enough to add stress instead of reducing it! I believe that we all already know how
to relax. We each know what helps us calm down and gives us a sense
of peace. It may
be a special place we like
to go,
a simple ritual, a walk in the park, or a cup of tea in the evening. It
doesn't have to be time consuming or expensive. No matter what it is,
I encourage
you to identify what it is that relaxes you and set aside
a few minutes a
day to just relax. Trick of the Month - Relaxation
